Final Project

The Final Project should be a practical activity in which you apply the ideas, concepts, frameworks or activities you have learned during the course to your own professional context. Some examples of Final Projects in previous editions of the course have been:
  • a draft of a plan to integrate the teaching of empathy into the teacher’s school curriculum;
  • a plan to integrate the teaching of empathy into a teacher’s classes;
  • a plan to implement an extra-curricula film club at the teacher’s school in order to foster empathy and intercultural communicative competence;
  • a plan to integrate short films into a teacher’s classes in order to raise awareness of social issues not normally covered in coursebooks;
  • a plan to integrate an Extensive Reading programme into a teacher’s school in order to raise awareness of social issues not normally covered in course book;
  • a lesson plan designed around a silent short film to raise awareness of empathy;
  • a plan to introduce “active listening” activities into a teacher’s  classes.
Whatever you decide to do your Final Project on, I would like it to be personally and professionally useful to you in your teaching context.
